Chiropractic Care and Wellness Care
by Dr. Robert A. Warley D.C
Chiropractic care and Wellness care are perfectly complimentary for a multitude of reasons. First and foremost, Chiropractic care delivers outstanding results for a wide array of neuromusculoskeletal conditions without the prescribing of medications. Most if and not all medications have side effects with some being serious and most medications often impede recovery. Also, pain medications often mask symptoms and although are goal is to reduce pain in our patients some pain or discomfort are warning signs and signals to avoid certain movements or behaviors and can actually guide the patient to a more natural and functional recovery status. Chiropractic physicians use:
- Physical Therapy
- And nutritional counseling
to promote recovery in our patients. These methods are much more attuned to the innate healing power’s of the body.
Aristotle the famous greek philosopher stated “Let food be your medicine and let medicine be your food”
This advice is paramount in today’s landscape of overly processed foods, toxins, and dangerous prescription medications. The Chiropractic physician is well trained in natural nutrition and most apply it on a daily basis for the welfare of their patients. Lastly, the Chiropractic physician is the health care provider that can instruct and educate the patient the best on a wide array of positive lifestyle modifications such as exercise and diet. The Chiropractor after performing the consultation, exam and X-rays will know the patient’s condition very well and can prescribe the most effective natural healing regiment based on these findings.
The “Cookie cutter approach” is only effective in the cookie cutter business
And the Chiropractic Doctor knowing his patient on many levels (overall health, psychological status, lifestyle and specific diagnosis) can treat the individual in a manner that transcends the typical medical approach of treating only a symptom and often times with substances (drugs) that are foreign and toxic to the body.
